While some poets choose to be overtly political or to expound topically on issues of our day, many take a quieter, more artful route to literary activism. How can poems speak to issues in surprising and moving ways, even while not seeming to be about an issue per se? How do poets use the subtleties of
language to engage our consciences and startle us to attention? Join four slyly subversive poets and the poetry editor of Orion magazine as we explore these questions and more.
